What are flexible classes?

Modified on Tue, 8 Jul at 7:25 PM

Flexible classes offer an alternative to a homeroom class that allows students to be enrolled in multiple classes at the same time. Flexible classes offer a perfect solution for teachers of pull-out programs, such as intervention classes, after-school programs, special groups, or even summer enrollments.

Flexible class enrollments:

  • Students can be enrolled in an unlimited number of flexible classes at one time.
  • Students can be enrolled in only one homeroom class at any given time.

Flexible classes have the same features as homeroom classes. A flexible class teacher can:

  • Make assignments to students in their flexible class
  • Review reports for students in their flexible class
  • Add and remove students from their flexible class (as allowed by the district)
