| For Infants & Toddlers | For infants and toddlers, we recommend the Footsteps2Brilliance School Edition, Level 1. Caregivers will use the interactive eBooks, songs, and games in Level 1 as “Lapware.” In this model, the child experiences the program in the lap of their caregiver. The child can drive the learning, choosing what to do next and authentically responding to the prompts, while their caregiver provides support, attends to the child’s choices, engages the child in dialogue, and focuses the child’s attention. |
| For Pre-K & TK Classrooms | Most Pre-K students should get started by using Clever Kids University: Pre-Reader. After they have developed proficiency with this app, you may choose to create assignments for extra practice or extended learning using Footsteps2Brilliance School Edition. |
| For Kindergarten Classrooms | At the beginning of the school year, Kindergarten students should begin with Clever Kids University: Pre-Reader. This program will help solidify letter recognition, print awareness, and other critical reading readiness skills. For your students who are ready to begin decoding simple CVC words, Clever Kids University: I Can Read provides a systematic and explicit phonics curriculum that supports your Kindergarten standards. Finally, you may choose to create assignments for extra practice or extended learning using Footsteps2Brilliance School Edition. |
| For Grade 1 Classrooms | Most Grade 1 students should get started by using Clever Kids University: I Can Read. As they complete this program, you can create assignments that align to your classroom curriculum or provide extended practice using Footsteps2Brilliance School Edition. |
| For Grades 2 & 3 Classrooms | Grade 2 and 3 students will use Footsteps2Brilliance School Edition, where you can assign the lessons and activities that align to your classroom curriculum or support students' areas of difficulty. Students who are significantly behind in decoding skills may benefit from Clever Kids University: I Can Read. |
| For Grades 4+ Intervention | Use Footsteps2Brilliance School Edition to assign lessons that support the student's areas of difficulty. |
