This article will cover creating parent accounts and how to monitor the work students are doing outside of school.
Footsteps2Brilliance is a great learning tool for families to use at home. Students can use the program anytime, anywhere—with or without an internet connection.
How to create parent accounts:
If you have parent email addresses, you can create parent accounts using Class Management. (Note: some districts create parent accounts during set up. Check the Parent List in Class Management to see whether your parents already have accounts.)
If you do not have parent email addresses, you can print parent letters to send home or distribute during a parent workshop.
Resources to host a parent workshop:
Parents will be most likely to use Footsteps2Brilliance at home if you model how to get started and demonstrate your expectations. We have put together parent night resources to help you. (You can find these and many other resources in Toolkits.)
Monitoring use at home:
You can easily track when students are accessing Footsteps2Brilliance in the Usage Summary Report.
